I produced the opening credits and graphics package for the 42nd Golden Butterfly Awards, Türkiye's oldest television and music awards organization, which has been presented since 1972. The ceremony, held at Zorlu PSM and broadcast live on Kanal D, saw awards presented in 32 categories; the package includes the graphics for the main opening credits as well as the Red Carpet segment.
At the heart of the design is the award itself: the golden statuette with butterfly wings, modeled in three dimensions, takes center stage in the animation. The camera moves around the statuette on a macro scale, highlighting the reflections on the metal surface and the sculptural lines of the form; gold-toned light beams, bokeh glows, and particle layers create a stage atmosphere comparable to that of the ceremony. In the Red Carpet section's graphics, red triangular forms intersect with the gold background, creating an identity that distinguishes this section from the main credits while remaining true to the same visual language.
Technically, the modeling of the figurine, the physical accuracy of the gold material, and its complex reflection behavior were conceived in Cinema 4D and rendered with Octane Render; lighting was the most critical phase of the project, as the placement of light sources on the glossy metal surfaces directly determined the readability of the form. Typography layers, particle and light effects, composites, and color grading were completed in After Effects.
Award ceremony credits must carry their own weight: the moment a viewer turns on the screen, they must simultaneously feel the prestige and excitement of the evening. In this package, the physical object of the award has been transformed into a visual icon of the ceremony night.
