Summary<\/p>\n

Cinema, invented through a series of successive technological advancements culminating in a series of moving images, continues to exist today based on the availability of technology. The intricate relationship between technology and cinema has influenced this young art form throughout its history. Game engine technologies, one of the most popular image production techniques of recent times, are profoundly affecting, reshaping, changing, and transforming the production form of digital cinema. With real-time image processing capabilities, virtual camera possibilities, interactive content support, and realistic LED imagery, game engines enable live visual effects production and active post-production, moving filmmaking from physical sets to virtual studios. Focusing on new technologies, this study examines the changing workflow of cinema by comparing game engines, virtual studios, virtual production, and new image production methods with traditional visual effects methods. Rather than reducing the relationship between cinema and new image production forms to a mere technical change, this study aims to examine the impact of virtual image production methods on the content and form of cinema and to reveal the methodological and conceptual changes brought about by the new filmmaking technique.<\/p>\n
