Gündem Belirleme Kuramı Çerçevesinde DİJİTAL MEDYA

Digital Media within the Framework of Agenda-Setting Theory

Digital publishing allows content to be produced in a digital environment, tailored to digital users and presented through that same digital medium, utilizing its specific dynamics. Journalists who previously worked in traditional media have also been affected by this transformation and have shifted their journalistic activities to digital platforms such as YouTube and GAIN TV. While conducting their news activities on digital platforms, journalists keep their finger on the pulse of social media trends, addressing topics that traditional media avoids or "hesits" to cover, and sometimes even discussing agendas that parallel those of traditional media.

While the number of traditional media viewers is rapidly decreasing, the number of digital media users is increasing at the same rate. This change is transforming traditional media viewers into online users through the interaction provided by digital media. Now, not only traditional media viewers but also both traditional media channels and individuals who produce content for traditional media are switching to digital media.
