This opening sequence and graphics package, which I created for Kanal D's "Ben Bilmem Eşim Bilir" (I Don't Know, My Wife Knows), a married couples' competition hosted by İlker Ayrık, establishes the program's humorous tone with a surreal visual language. In each scene, the host is immersed in a world of distorted toys: immersed in thousands of yellow and orange balls, appearing in the steam of a giant martini glass under the moonlight, encountering a basketball among red high heels, or being embraced by chili peppers taller than himself. These absurd encounters are the graphic representation of the program format, which is based on the clash between "the world of women and the world of men" in marriage.
Technically, the package relies on a hybrid production process: the presenter's real footage shot in the studio was integrated into three-dimensional scenes modeled in Cinema 4D and rendered photorealistically with Octane Render. The dynamic simulation of the ball pit with hundreds of pieces, the shattering and reflections of the wine glass, and the varnished surfaces of the high heels were defining elements of the rendering phase. The matching of light and color between the real footage and the 3D environment was completed in After Effects, along with the composite and color grading stages.
In the competition's opening credits, the host is the face and source of humor for the program; the aim of this package was to transfer the host's energy to the graphic universe itself and establish the program's promise of entertainment from the very first second.
