Channel D Colorful Pages Program Promotion

Colorful Pages

This promotional package, which I created for Kanal D's daytime magazine program "Renkli Sayfalar" (Colorful Pages), directly translates the program's name into a visual system. The phrase "Renkli Sayfalar" refers to the entertainment sections of newspapers and magazines; the design transforms this reference into a dynamic version of a magazine page. Column-like flowing text blocks, layered geometric areas at the page level, circular and square frames, and large headline typography establish the promo as an editorial page composition.

The promo's narrative structure lists the program's promise using keywords: "Fun," "Live," "Friendly," "Enjoyable Guests," "News That Sets the Agenda," "Just in Time for Coffee"—each appearing on its own page layout and integrated into the composition along with photographic clips of the presenters. This structure sets both the rhythm and the information hierarchy of the promo: each scene a headline, each headline a page.

The color palette was deliberately kept at a high saturation level — purple, orange, cyan, magenta, and yellow intertwine in crisscrossed areas; the X-patterned texture spreading across the background adds a print-like surface to the composition. Instead of three-dimensional depth, flat areas of color and sharp-edged geometry were preferred; studio photographs of the presenters were placed between these planes, emphasizing the program's "lively" feel within the static page language. The package closes with the broadcast information at 09:30 every weekday.

Program introductions, unlike opening credits, invite the viewer to a specific hour. In this study, the aim was to construct that invitation through the program's own metaphor: the viewer reads what the program has to offer among the pages turning on the screen.
