Dr. Kenan Subaşı

She works as a lecturer at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. She graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Cinema and Television, and won awards three years in a row at the internationally organized Young Communicators Competition during her undergraduate studies. In 2017, she completed her master's degree in Cinema and Television at Beykent University; and in 2025, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled "The Transforming Identity of Cinema with New Technologies: Virtual Reality and 360-Degree Video" at Ege University, Department of Radio, Cinema and Television.

Between 2012 and 2020, he worked as a motion graphic designer at Kanal D, one of Türkiye's leading television channels; during this period, he participated in numerous national and international programs, series, and film projects. While studying for his undergraduate degree, he was involved in various short film and documentary projects; his short film "14.15," which he directed during his graduate studies, was accepted into over fifty film festivals in more than twenty countries.

His academic work focuses on new media, digital cinema, 3D design, animation, virtual reality, VR film, 360-degree video, and new technologies, narratives, and formats. He utilizes current software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Octane, and Redshift Render in digital production processes, and Unreal Engine in real-time virtual reality and virtual production projects. He integrates AI-powered audiovisual production tools into design processes. His technical courses include design, 3D modeling and animation, advanced editing techniques, computer-aided design, and motion graphics design; he also conducts theoretical lectures and practical workshops. In addition to his academic work, he serves as a workshop leader, speaker, and jury member at film festivals; and continues his work as a director and designer on national and international projects.
